Refund of postage labels

Question

So for some reason it charged me for3 labels, I managed to find out how to cancel them, I used one to send the item, however after the customer had recieved the item I didn't get all my money, I checked to see that i had cancelled the postage labels, ive now been told I gave to wait 14 to 21 days to get those postage money back, why do I have to wait so long when they can see the item has been recieved and only 1 was used, anyone had to wait

Presumably the buyer bought the items in three separate transactions, hence three labels.

It is standard, I believe it can be up to 30 days.
