Refund given without discussion when I wanted to know when I’d receive the item
Summary: anunay68 expressed frustration over receiving a refund without consent instead of an update on a delayed item delivery, which they had been assured was forthcoming. They noted that the item was stuck in an eBay warehouse and felt their communication was misrepresented. They are seeking advice on how to lodge a complaint as they cannot take further action on the website after the refund was processed.
I asked for an update given that an item was not delivered after waiting for the due date for three weeks. I have not purchased the item elsewhere. The item has left the seller and was stuck in an eBay warehouse. I spoke while waiting for the item to a representative who assured me the item would arrive.
Then I received a response totally misrepresenting what I had said and giving me a refund that I had not asked for and blaming the seller.
How do I complain - there is now nothing I can do on the website as the refund has been made.

Mentor5 days agoI do not understand the excuse about being stuck in an ebay warehouse, items sold on ebay do not go into ebay warehouses. The only time ebay handles items is when sold through the Global Shipping Service, which is for overseas sales.

Mentor5 days agoIt's good that you received a refund, buyers are covered by eBay against their order not arriving but must make a claim within 30 days of the latest estimated delivery date showing on their order, seems you were getting near to that cut off point.
If the seller has more of those items you can re-purchase, if they don't then they may eventually get their item back and relist it (you could message the seller and tell them that you'd like to re-purchase it).
