Refun refused

Question

I ordered a second hand car part which eBay said would be a guaranteed fit for my vehicle. Upon checking further on the internet it's the wrong variant and won't fit my car. I cancelled the order within 10 minutes but the seller and eBay are refusing to cancel and refund even though the seller is on holiday and the item won't arrive till the beginning of September.

Any help would be appreciated

You will have to wait for it to arrive and then return it as 'not as described'. Don't use 'does not fit' as the reason. Buyers can only request to cancel, the seller can refuse.

Buyers cannot cancel, first important thing to realise.

Can you can do now is see what expected delivery date is and if not arrived by that date open a not received case. If arrived in time then open a not as described return.

Seller will find that it would be cheaper to cancel sale and refund in full.
