recent sale is possibly a scam
Hi all
I recently listed a radio for sale and was quickly sent an offer. I checked the buyer and it was a buyer in Egypt with single digit feedback. I felt it may of been a scammer (possibly undeservedly) so declined the offer and blocked the buyer.
The item has just sold to a different buyer in Egypt who had zero feedback until my automated feedback was left.
I feel its the same person who sent the offer who has now purchased the radio. This kind of confirms to me that this sale is a bit dodgy.
What do you think? and how would i go about cancelling the order without a performance hit.

OP7 months agoeBay have refused to removed the feedback.
Nothing in the reposed to my request to say they are looking into any fraudulent behaviour by the two accounts involved.

The buyer has now left negative feedback with lots of untruths. I have requested the feedback be removed and that eBay look into the two accounts that were used to try and buy the item.
Let you know if the feedback is removed.

Mentor7 months agoAs you listed the item for delivery within the UK only you can legitimately take the advice from **peaseblosson** and cancel because the buyer's address is in Egypt.
Two other points. Firstly, if you only sell to the UK, consider setting your preferences to block bids from countries to which you don't deliver.
Secondly, if you have any further problems with this buyer contact customer support about suspected unwelcome bidding, for example using another ID to get around being blocked from bidding. This is not allowed. eBay will be able to compare the adresses and even the buyers' digital footprints to check whether they are the same person.
