Receiving offers from fake accounts?

Hello

I’ve recently listed an item to sell, a DSLR camera. Within the space of 12 hours I received 3 offers from accounts that are less than a month old & with 0 reviews.

Coincidentally they’re all based in Australia but have uk addresses to post the items to?

Could this be a scam? I’m hesitant as the item is quite expensive and I don’t want to have to deal with any issues that may happen later.

I’ve already enabled the setting that block users that don’t have a payment method ready when they make an offer, and any users that cancelled orders too.

Yes, they could well be scams. When selling an expensive item any anomaly is a warning sign, eg. accounts registered elsewhere with UK addresses. Go with your gut and put them on your blocked bidder list:
