I ordered a new book from Ebay. It was left out in the rain by the deliverer. It is damaged but salvageable. I think this is very bad service and shouldn't happen again. It should have been delivered to the house.

Mentor11 months agoOpen an eBay return, select the 'Arrived damaged' reason.
Your seller can then choose to buy a pre-paid returns label for you to return the book or simply refund you.

I'm afraid that's commonplace. Parcels are routinely left on the doostep to be rain damaged, or stolen. Welcome to the Wild West world of today's parcel services.
Plus if parcels are stolen from the doorstep, they're not covered by eBay's money back guarantee because they are tracked as delivered. And if delivery is recorded as attempted, eBay treats it as being successfully delivered - even though it wasn't. Delivery issues have become one of the biggest risk of buying on eBay.

You have received an item damaged in transit, that is what the money back guarantee is for, you open a NOT AS DESCRIBED CASE, damaged in transit, to get a full refund.
