purchasing a returns label
Posted an item using royal mail that I orignally listed for collection only. Buyer now wants to return and after accepting return ebay is asking to purchase a returns label. I have spent a little shy of two hours on the phone with royal mail attempting to do this (phone number provided by eBay) and they in the end said eBay needs to sort this and you cannot get a returns label if you don't have the item. Please help!

Mentor2 weeks agoIf there's no option to issue a returns label in the return case you can buy a label online from Royal Mails website, you don't need to phone them. Just make sure that it's addressed to you, you can then send the QR code or label to your buyer (you can attach an image to an eBay message).

OP2 weeks agoThanks for replying! I did try with the royal mail website but it asks me for the name of the retailer to post a label. I made an account with click and drop as per one of the royal mail customer representatives advice but that too was not helpful

Mentor2 weeks agoYou honestly don't need to do any that, you need to go to their personal (not business) section and just purchase a label addressed to you.

OP2 weeks agoTHANK YOU SO MUCH!! I cannot believe how complicated eBay made it by asking me to call that number and the rabbit hole Royal mail sent me down as well when it is so stupidly (on my part) obvious...uploaded the label now! Thanks again!!!!

Mentor2 weeks agoYou're very welcome, sorry that you had so many hoops to jump through there. Always pop over to this section first for advice because we've all been there!
