Purchased item for collection only, no response at all from seller, paid via paypal, what can I do?
I used note to seller at time of purchase asking about collection. I sent a message saying the same the following day and again two days later. Later that day I decided to try to cancel the order based on the item not being received (I couldn't see anything better to use). On the 17th October I received a message from Ebay to say that it was too late for the order to be cancelled and that I should receive the order by 25 October and that I may contact the seller to return it once I have received it.
Given that the order is for collection only I can't understand what logic flow Ebay is using! It's now the 24th October and no message has been received from the seller. I note the seller has no previous Ebay history. Obviously I have not disclosed the collection code. How can I get hold of a human at Ebay to explain this pretty simple case and get my money back? Could I use Ebay's Facebook page or Messenger ? Also I have paid via Paypal as I thought it had some option for redress. Thanks

OP8 months agoThat worked. Just have to wait out another few days before refund received. Thanks

Mentor8 months agoJust in case the seller is stalling, if you have been told by ebay that a refund is on its way, then should be ok, but if you are relying on word of seller, if refund not received within a few days, escalate your case to ebay.

·8 months agoDon't go to Paypal for a refund.
If you do that you will not be able to do anything through Ebay.
You have been given a 'delivery date' of 25th October so the most straightforward way to resolve this is to open an 'item not received' case one day after that.
If the seller doesn't refund you, then you can go back to the case after 3 days and ask Ebay to step in.
