Purchased an item and never received it and its now back up for sale
Angry is an understatement on how i feel right now as my sister couldn't afford to buy a playstation 5 for my nephews xmas and so i stepped in and purchased one on ebay and i won the auction £285.00 plus £16.99 delivery i immediately paid for the item as the seller stated on the listing if purchased before 14:00 it will be sent the same day and i purchased the item at 11:47 am and so 3 days later still no item still has not been despatched to me 3 days later and listen i have been on ebay long enough to know exactly what was going to happen as the seller never received what he wanted for the item hence why i never received it and so this morning my item was cancelled and i was refunded then 2 minutes later the item i was supposed to receive is now back up for sale i mean how is this allowed how is this allowed to happen on ebay it is disgusting tactics and ebay should not be allowing this

Mentor7 months agoWhat reason did seller use to cancel, if he used buyers request then you can report for abuse of the system, as any other reason gives seller a defect. You should also leave negative feedback, just say SELLER DID NOT HONOUR THE SALE, then no reason to be removed, and mark down star ratings.
No one can force a seller to honour a sale, but if they want more money then they should not start at a low price, but doing the above will not do the sellers record any good.

Mentor7 months agoIt's very bad selling that's for definite, but there's nothing to enforce a seller to post out a paid for item, but there are penalties to pay, because eBay do not like unhappy buyers.
Did the cancellation state ' Cancelled at Buyer's request' ? This would result in no sanctions on the seller's account. You can if you wish, contact CS explain you did not authorise the cancellation, and were very disappointed not to receive your item.
You will not be informed of any action taken, but it's likely they'll place a damaging defect on the seller's account. It doesn't take many to remove a seller permanently from their site, as said, eBay do not like unhappy buyers!
I strongly recommend contacting CS 8 a.m. on a weekday when the lines open for ' live agents' as then, there's more chance of Dublin answering.
This is the easiest and quickest way to contact eBay Customer Services, for a Call Back option.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/eua?id=5275&mkevt=1&mkpid
Lines open 8 a.m. - 10 p.m. on weekdays
9 a.m. - 6 p.m. on weekends.
Automated agents will be available on chat outside of the above hours.
It's not easy to get through to CS, you just have to have perseverance! Instead of a quick option, 'Contact Us' which put you direct to a CS agent, you have to scroll past ' How Can We Help you today, to the very bottom and click on the Contact Us below Need More Help?
That takes you to an annoying AI bot but if you persevere keep asking questions it cannot answer and Insist on an agent, they do finally put you through and say .... waiting time ** minutes!
