Purchase of item paid , seller not selling now ! Require refund

Hi, I have purchased a camera and paid for the item. I have had a message from the seller saying he is no longer selling. I asked about the refund & he said I haven’t paid because this doesn’t go through until the item is sent. I know this is utter rubbish . EBay have said I have to wait 30 days to log a claim ! Is this correct thx

No it's all wrong! You have paid ebay but ebay hasn't released the funds to the seller yet. He should still send it, or cancel and refund.

You only have 30 days from the delivery date ebay gave you when you paid to open a case for item not received, but you can open it the day after the expected delivery date if necessary, I.e the seller has not already refunded.
