Proof of age to buy a resisted itam
How to buy a restricted itam that required proof of age??
Says use a credit card? But sellers say credit card is not a proof of age and to ask ebay for my proof of age?? I have a passport and citizen card that seller says I need to ask ebay?? Can someone please help?? Thanks your🤔ðŸ¤

Mentor1 month agoA credit card is proof that the card holder is over 18, it's a bit odd that your seller is saying that a credit card isn't proof of age, particularly as you don't give your card details to the seller. The age verification is automated, for obvious security reasons.

Mentor1 month agoeBay only accept a credit card, because anyone of any age can own a debit card, and you need to be 18 years or older to have a credit card. Other forms of proof passports etc, would need a team to check that paperwork and of course extra cost involved.
Those Credit card Companies have already done their stringent checks on the holders of those cards, so to save time and money, eBay use those checks for their own benefit.
The only way round this for you, is to ask a friend or family member who has a credit card on their eBay account, to buy this item for you.
