Product failed in 3 months and cannot seem to access the manufacturers 3 year warranty
Summary: spike4595 purchased a Dewalt battery in April that is now not charging. Dewalt UK declined the warranty claim due to the item being sold for the American market and directed them to the eBay seller, who has not responded. They are struggling to open a case through eBay’s purchase history and are seeking advice on how to utilize their buyer protection for accessing the product guarantee. papso22 explains that the buyer protection covers faulty items only for 30 days from delivery, suggesting it may be too late for eBay to assist.
In April I bought a New Dewalt 20V battery . I now cannot get it to charge. Approaching Dewalt UK for a warranty claim they advise they do not support product as sold for the American market. They direct me back to ebay and the Seller. I have contacted the seller and had no response and want to open a case for ebay to step in and help me access the product gaurantee however the option to open a case does not seem to be available in the drop down on my purchase history?
I have paid for buyer protection but don't seem to be getting any how do I raise this with ebay?
thanks

Mentor4 days agoYou have 30 days to return an item that's not as described via eBay's Money Back Guarantee/Buyer Protection, same for PayPal.
If you paid with a debit/credit card or ApplePay you have 120 days to issue a not as described chargeback.

Mentor4 days agoThe Buyer Protection Fee is nothing to do with faulty items. They are covered by the money back guarantee but only for 30 days from delivery. After that ebay won't help you.
