Problems with a Cylinder Head
A seller is attempting to negotiate and take additional payment outside of eBay. He has asked me to pay £700 directly to him because I purchased the incorrect cylinder head from his eBay shop.
The original listing was poorly presented and showed pictures of the cylinder head I actually wanted, which led to confusion and resulted in me buying the wrong item.
I would like to purchase the correct 7-port crossflow head and asked if we could arrange an exchange. The seller refused, stating that I would need to pay the price difference.
However, he then sent me an offer through eBay giving a 7% discount (approximately £200 off) on the correct head. When I messaged him to clarify this, he said the offer was incorrect and that he still expects me to pay £700 directly.
As a result, I will now miss out on the discounted offer as well.

Mentor5 months agoDoing what seller is asking for could lose you the money, as only by dealing through ebay can refunds be assured.
Co as already suggested, open a Not as described case, seller has to providecacreply paid return label and on return refund in full.
If no label is received within 3 days escalate to ebay, once received and returned again if no refund made escalate. Take into account that refunds go back to source, but once ebay tells you a refund has been made, it is on its way.
Payments by paypal quick refund, debit card 7 days, credit card up to 30 days.

Mentor5 months agoJust get your money back through an ebay returns case and find another seller. This one clearly can't be trusted.
