problems getting a 'item delivered' code

Question

I mistakenly listed a sofa offering 'postage' . I delivered the item myself. Now i cant get a 'item delivered' code because ebay think royal mail is delivering it! What can I do?

There isn't anything you can do, if the listing had been set up for collection then your buyer, after paying, would have received a collection code that they would give to you on collection (or delivery in this particular case). This proves that they have their item.

You will get the payment, but it may be held for 14 days.

Nothing. The mistake was offering postage, only if listed as collection would buyer get a. ode which he then gives to you to enter proving delivery.

Ebay is very inflexible and not possible to change the terms of the listing.

So long as buyer and seller are happy just let it stand as it cannot be changed.
