Problems adding a card for Payouts
Anyone else having an issue trying to add a bank card for payouts? I tried the QR code and it gave an error. Waiting on the laptop seems to stall. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Mentor2 weeks agoIF its for payouts, ie items sold that you then want the money for it goes to a Bank account not a debit card. Thus you need the sort code and account number to do this, consequently this may be why you have been having problems.

OP2 weeks agoThanks for your comments. My linked bank account is still current and functioning - but I had been supplied with an updated debit card so assumed this is why eBay mentioned my payouts are on hold. I have just now re-added the same account for payouts so will see if this works.

Mentor2 weeks agoUsually adding or changing any personal details, it has to be done on a desktop browser and not the app.
I can see you are using a laptop now but which browser? Chrome works best as the site is built around it.
Try clearing cache and cookies too, ensure your card as at least 6 months validity, then see if you can add your card here:

OP2 weeks agoThanks for your comments. I run the process again (from the laptop) but then eBay offered the QR code. If this is not accepted the window behind hangs. So I used the QR code and logged into my bank account via the phone. Then, on the laptop, the process continued. It has been a waste of time since I just added the same bank account that was already stored. Now my payouts are delayed 48 hours, which is not really a problem. I just wonder why I got the email from eBay to say there was an issue with my account.

Mentor2 weeks agoI think the confusion over debit cards, did not help.
Money is not added to a debit card, the card is just a means of paying from a bank account, ebay will only credit to a verified bank account, which can take a few days, so making any changes, even if just re-entering existing details will be likely to cause a delay..
