Problem trying to refund item & postage cost

Question

Hi All,I'd like to refund a buyer who has messaged me about a problem with some trainers they bought. I've clicked on refund buyer & I went to enter a different amount to the item cost so that I cover their postage but the system is saying the wrong amount is entered. How can I refund a buyer for the item and their postage please?Kind Regards

You cannot refund more than you received. I imagine ebay refund postage to buyer if he bought and paid for, direct to buyer.

Buyer should open the appropriate case, Not as described, then you refund through the case.
