Price reductions are pointless using bulk editing tool
Summary: thatsabigtwinkie expresses frustration with eBay's bulk editing tool, which no longer displays postage costs when reducing item prices. This omission leads to potential financial loss, as sellers may inadvertently offer free postage without realizing it. Despite having raised this concern with eBay support months ago, no improvements have been made, making the process inefficient and time-consuming. thatsabigtwinkie notes that these features were previously available and calls for eBay to improve the tool.
Why do postage costs not appear when you are bulk editing (price reducing) a number of items in one go? It makes an absolute mockery of the so called 'convenience' of bulk editing as you can't judge how much to drop an item by as you can't always remember if you are charging post or offering freepost - this matters on deciding how far to drop an item by.
I have mentioned this to an ebay operator months ago who thought it 'was a great idea that makes a lot of sense' but no changes to the tool at all.
I have been caught out several times reducing items only to find I was offering freepost and, after ebay fees and postage it has actually cost me money to send.
Now I am having to individually open an item to physically check if I ma charging for post or doing freepost so I don't get burnt! This takes a ridiculous amount of time compared with using the bulk editing tool.
I have been selling on eBay over 20 years but what really annoys me is that you used to be able to see your postage costs (or not) on the bulk editing tool. Why has this been removed?
Come on eBay, you can do much better than this!
