Pre paid postage
Hi, need help to get my payment released by EBay for trainers I sold, they have been delivered and buyer confirmed this.
The buyer paid for standard delivery but then asked for next day delivery. I paid for this myself at the post office. This meant the pre paid postage was not used and now showing in dispatch for the last week. I need help to get the funds released.

Mentor5 months agoYou cannot now add any new tracking, so your payout for the item will be held for a minimum of 14 days.
eBay suggest sending the buyer a message with those tracking details. If a case is opened later for item not received, you will be able to add those tracking details.

Mentor5 months agoYou can mark dispatched by opening the original pre-paid Simple Delivery label (Get prepaid label > Get prepaid label and QR code). It will remain unused and the cost will be automatically refunded to the buyer in 30 days (assuming they paid for it).
The option to change tracking number has been removed. If necessary you would be able to add the new number to an "Item not received" case if one was opened.
As there will be no valid tracking on ebay payment will be held for 14 days.

the trainers was delivered to buyer over a week ago. The buyer does not know how to confirm delivery and then get the funds released.
I’m concerned the payment will be refunded and I won’t get my money.

Mentor5 months agoThe buyer cannot confirm delivery but the money will not be refunded. Nothing can happen to the money automatically. If by chance the buyer opened a "not received" case you would be able to add the new tracking number to that so nothing would come of that either.
