Mentor6 months agoUsing Simple Delivery cannot be avoided except within a very few categories, and price up to £20 and weight up to 100 gms.
There is no list of categories that are exempt, but if listing a potentially exempt item, the Custom Postage box will show.
I now restrict selling to Postcards and badges, as using the not so Simple Postage is just not practical. I would never want to use a Courier, constantly going to Post Office, or collections is not practical, and infrequent use of a printer means ink dries up.

Mentor6 months agoIt's mandatory for Private sellers to use Simple Delivery now , so their pre paid labels, which can be cheaper.
You can still use your own postage, but you won't be able to add new tracking , and your payouts will be held for a minimum of 14 days. As said, eBay do wish Private sellers to use SD.
Any reason why you don't wish too? It's far from perfect I agree, but the greatest benefits are, if the item is lost or arrives damaged in transit, eBay refunds the buyer, and you get to keep the payout.
