Pre Cites Act, before 1975.
Ebay Community don't know the correct answer to my question. This is to do with Pre-Cites Act.
1975 and before is pre cites. My stuffed turtle is 1955 era, bought for the tourists industry before they were considered endangered.
Ebay now consider turtles endangered despite not under cities, no documentation possible.

Mentor1 week agoLegally you can pass it to family members or a museum otherwise it is illegal to sell. Even at an auction house which oddly I am at at the moment and just asked one of the staff members. They are not allowed to accept them.

Mentor1 week agoPre-1955 by itself does not allow a taxidermy turtle legal to be listed and sold on eBay UK., and it's not just CITES you need to factor in here.
There are a few separate issues:
eBay's policy: eBay UK specifically prohibits items made from protected turtles or tortoises. For other animal parts, eBay requires the species to be identified and may require documentary evidence or an Article 10 certificate depending on the species.
UK wildlife/CITES law: The exact species and whether it was legally acquired are crucial. Some turtles are CITES-listed, and commercial sale of specimens can require CITES documentation.
The date matters, but not necessarily 1955. For some UK wildlife protections, the relevant historical date is 30 October 1981, while CITES “worked specimen” rules can involve 3 March 1947. A specimen being from 1954 doesn't automatically qualify for an exemption.
