Posting from Spain
I have sold a coin and want to post it from Spain. Obviously this means I'm not going through Royal Mail or a UK courier so eBay will have no record of the delivery. The buyer has given me his full address so there's no problem on his end but will eBay still release the payment without the tracking process?

How are you and the buyer going to handle the import costs and documentation?

OP1 month agoWell that's just it, I won't need to do all that because it's just a small coin, so it will be posted on an envelope as a normal letter, which doesn't require documentation. The buyer is happy to receive it this way so I'm guessing that when he marks it as received the payment will then be released

Mentor1 month ago · EditedIt's not the size of the package, its what it contains. If import VAT is applicable and the location had been correctly shown as Spain in your listing then your buyer would have paid any applicable import VAT up front to eBay.
It may get through, it may not. I would have thought that it still requires some kind of customs label declaring the contents.
I'd check this out before proceeding.
