POSTED AND ITEM THE SAME DAY AS PAYMENT SENT THE TRACKING DETAILS AND COMPLAINED WHY AM I SENDING BIZZARE MESSAGES
Summary: b1tsandb0bs shared their frustration over a buyer who complained and opened a case when a purchased item, shipped via Royal Mail Tracked 48, didn't arrive by the expected date. They noted the buyer didn’t request faster shipping but blamed them for the delay. tressygirl advised not to contact buyers unless necessary and suggested that entering tracking details could resolve the issue through eBay. john1297576 agreed, indicating that the buyer might be hoping for a free item and remarking that promising specific delivery dates can create issues.
I posted an item I sold on the 23rd the same day as payment on the 23rd which the buyer would have got the details from Ebay after two days I contacted them and told them I posted this and copied and pasted the information from Royal Mail
Then asked why am I sending this they can read. I apologised but I am following ebay to contact the buyer. Why are you sending me bizzare messages. I was telling them the parcel would be delivered on the 25th September as this was the tracking information.
Now that the item was not received that day, have reported me and saying they needed this as a gift and its not arrived. Opened a case.
Not once during this messages I got, told they need it quickly or offered for a more expensive service, they selected the service. ROYAL MAIL TRACKED 48.
Opened a case today 27th and now the tracking says its at the National Hub. as of Sunday evening. I am being blamed for non delivery when I am not the Royal Mail.
I dont what to contact this buyer again and I would not expect to buy from them either just being so bad, I have done nothing wrong, but do what I was required of.
I was told to post this by Ebay message service.

Mentor2 weeks ago · EditedNo doubt buyer is hoping for a Freebie, although ebay may not rush to refund, but as said by tressygirl, it is not a good idea to contact buyer, especially as the system would have already advised of posting details, and would likely have quoted a longer delivery time. Tracked 48 is rarely delivered on time, and by you stating a date for delivery has put you in this position.
The listing gives much longer delivery dates, but buyer cannot open a Not received case until AFTER delivery date given by ebay.

OP2 weeks agoThey gave her a freebie as she said box damaged but refused to show the second box inside as evidence infact never opened the box and eBay refunded her for deception. The item arrived today 28th I was blamed for her delivery office not delivering to Monday. Reported me for damaged goods but refused to show the item. Even if she did would have damaged it like the box.

Mentor2 weeks agoPersonally, I always believed never to contact a buyer unless there's some issue from the seller, as a buyer would soon enough contact you the seller, if there was something wrong.
Was this a Simple Delivery transaction? Then, the buyer opening a case for item not received , the refund will be dealt with by eBay and you get to keep the payment for the item.
Enter the tracking numbers now into the case details, but if Simple Delivery was not used, and tracking cannot show delivery , you will have to refund your buyer, and after take up the issue with Royal Mail.
