postage refund for a hand delivery?
I use ebay simply delivery because it's convenient. I recently sold an item to someone who turned out to live two streets away from and me, so I hand delivered it to them so they could get it the same day.
how can I get a refund on my Ebay postage fee for simply delivery, or do I have to post them an empty box to complete the transaction?

Mentor2 weeks agoThe buyer will be refunded for the Simple Delivery label they paid for within 30 days.
Within having a collection code from the buyer to confirm that they have their item, bear in mind that your payment may be held for 14 days.

OP2 weeks agomy item was listed as having free delivery. I'm the one asking for a refund from ebay for an unused simply delivery, there is nothing to refund to the buyer.

Mentor2 weeks agoProblem is, to reclaim that you need to show eBay that you sent the item using a trackable postage method:
If you selected ‘Seller pays’ and offered free postage on your listing, you'll need to fill out the Request a refund for Simple Delivery form (link below) for the label that wasn’t used. Make sure to send your request within 14 days of your item selling.

To process your refund, we'll verify the following:
The label was paid for by you (you offered free shipping to the buyer).
The refund request is created within 14 days from the item's sale.
The label wasn't used within 14 days of the item's sale.

If your request meets all these conditions, you'll receive a refund for the shipping cost.
