Postage rates and cover for loss
How can I find out the maximum value an item I am sending with Simple Delivery I will be covered for in the event that the item gets lost? I am selling an item worth £61 but Simple Delivery has selected a standard mail service that ordinarily would only cover loss up to a value of £20 if I paid directly to Royal Mail. Thanks

OP2 months agoThanks for responding. Do you know where I can find it stated on the website? I am surprised by how cheap the postage is and for the cover to be so high. I want to see it in black and white to give me some assurance.

Your item is covered for the amount it sells for.

How is my item protected?
Items are protected against loss or damage from the moment they are scanned into the courier’s delivery network until they are marked as delivered by the courier. There’s also no need to call the courier or customer support. In the event that a buyer raises a claim for an issue that occurs during transit, you won’t be held responsible. Even fragile items are protected when you follow our packaging guidance.
There’s no cover limit for eligible items with Simple Delivery. They’re fully protected for the amount they were sold for on eBay providing you post the item using the prepaid Simple Delivery label provided, comply with the eBay delivery Terms and Conditions, and properly package the item.

Mentor2 months agoEbay provides up to £750 cover for items sent with Simple Delivery.
They also cover for lost items, doing the refund themselves.
