Postage from the Channel Islands
Summary: oreve49 from Jersey is seeking advice from other eBay sellers in the Channel Islands regarding recent emails from eBay about its Shipping Service Standard Policy. They are concerned about compliance due to limitations with local postal services and the costs involved, which threaten account suspension despite having positive feedback. They question whether others are experiencing the same issue and are looking for guidance.
Are there any other eBay sellers from the Channel Islands who have received eBay's recent email regarding its Shipping Service Standard Policy. I live in Jersey where we only have one Postal Service, namely, Jersey Post. It is more expensive than the UK and even tracking of a small parcel of relatively small value costs over £8.00 which can make the item unattractive to a potential Buyer.
The email that I have received threatens the Suspension of my account if I do not comply because my "Acceptance Scan Rate does not meet the requirement of the Policy" whatever that means. The simple matter is that I cannot comply because the services are not available. I have 100% Feedback and all Buyers are satisfied. No negatives yet I am still being threatened for failure to comply with a Policy that I am unable to implement.
I am threatened that if I do not "take adequate remedial action" my account may be restricted or suspended.
I cannot be the only one affected by this? If anyone else has a similar problem I should be grateful for some advice.
Thanks in advance.

We have no access to your account so cannot see the reasons behind all of this.
However I do know that Jersey Post (here) same with Guernsey too that you have your own postal administrations and services which are different to Royal Mail say for example. Sometimes eBays geography and knowledge of postal systems leaves a bit to be desired.
All I can suggest at this juncture is to contact CS to see what the issue is exactly. I would caveat that too for a call on a Monday morning as you have a better chance of reaching Dublin. Its a bit of a pain to contact them these days so goto the help pages, click the area eg selling and keep typing contact agent until AI gives up and puts the screen for a call back.
