Postage for 6 items but they have been bought in ebay as 4 orders
Good afternoon everyone,
I listed 10 items seperately at a cost of £70 each and someone bought 6 of them but they are in 4 orders (2 are single orders and 2 have 2 items in each order) - EBay said this is because the buyer paid for one item, paid for another item, then put 2 in their basket, paid for them and did the same again with 2 more. In total, the buyer paid the £2.90 postage for each item, a total of £17.40.
In the past, I could send all of them together as special delivery for £8.75 and give the buyer a part refund on the postage (special delivery compensation of £750 covers the cost of all 6 items).
However, I am concerned that this is outside of the 4 orders shown in ebay and the buyer could say there were not 6 items in the parcel.
If I send them in 4 packages, as per the orders, the £2.90 postage for the two items in one order, only have a compensation of £75 but the 2 items are worth £140 - if I send these 2 orders of 2 items each as special delivery, that will be a total of £23.30, so I am unable to part refund the buyer and I will have to pay £6 extra.
EBay just suggested that I can either send them in 4 orders or cancel the 4 orders and relist for him to buy again. They also said I cannot change this into one order of 6 items, because of the way the buyer bought them.
I am very confused and this seems much more complicated than it used to be.
I am grateful for any suggestions please.
Thankyou !

Mentor6 months agoIt is much more complicated and rigid than it used to be. The best thing to do is cancel all the transactions with buyer's agreement and relist them all on one listing with one postage for them to buy again.

Thankyou also for replying so quickly.
