Postage charges...
Hi.
Is there a way of telling whether previous sales were 'buyer pays' postage or 'seller pays'? I have been charged postage on numerous sales but I'm fairly sure I chose 'buyer pays'. I'm confused as all previous sales mention the purchase price '+ postage'.
Any help much appreciated!

OP1 month agoMany thanks for the responses! Yes, I know how things work as to who pays postage, and yes it's clear who will pay postage on the stuff I'm trying to sell it says clearly.
It's the stuff I've already sold that I find confusing. It's all lined up in the orders section but every single item just gives the price and '+ postage'.
Some stuff has sold for such measly prices, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have listed it as 'seller pays', yet according to eBay, that's what happened. Are there every glitches/errors in the eBay system, whereby the buyer's charged postage even though it was listed as 'seller pays'?
I just can't see the 'original listing' links where I can check whether buyer or seller was specified...

Mentor1 month agoThere are no glitches or errors in the eBay system you're referencing. If you'd like to share a listing number we can take a look and tell you who paid for postage.

Mentor1 month agoIt really is simple, you are given full details of what the buyer pays. If the payment includes postage you use it to buy the postage. If the buyer buys the postage, you will not receive any postage from the buyer, you will just print of the postage label already paid for by buyer.
Ebay’s not so wonderful system makes no allowances for packaging, leaving it up to seller to incorporate in the price.

Mentor1 month agoIf you list freepost, it means you add postage cost to start price.
Buyer pays the total & you use money to buy postage yourself.

Mentor1 month agoYour last 3 sales are showing free delivery, which means that the seller buys the postage label.

OP1 month agoThanks for responding, but I can't see that. Where does it tell you who paid? I'm looking at the 'Orders' section...

Mentor1 month agoI looked at your completed listings and, if you look at your current listings they're a mixture of some showing free postage (that means that you, the seller, pays for it) and some are showing a postage cost of £2.70, which means your buyer will pay for label.
