Postage and postage office
What should we do next?
Bought chest of drawers with postage included. Post office picked up item but today sent seller letter saying too big and they must collect from office. Chest has alsonow been moved to another depot in London.
I never would have ordered item if it didn't have delivery as I live in Cornwall.
Any suggestions?

OP1 week ago · EditedToday I've received RM recorded delivery letter about chest at depot in London asking me to sort it out in 14 days, clearly making it my problem. No tel no for depot and 40 mins wait time on RM customer service line. Can't see how I can actually talk to anyone at Ebay either. Help...

Mentor1 week agoGiven what you've said, I'd wait until the latest estimated delivery date that's showing on the order details has passed and would then open an eBay item not received claim.
What's the listing number, out of curiosity?

Mentor1 week agoCrazy that your seller thought they could sent a whole set of full size drawers for that much. The Post Office employee should never had collected from them and should have had the good sense to point out that they're too large for Royal mail. Bit worrying that then nobody at the RM depot had the sense to say 'nope' and drop them back to the seller.
Totally not your problem though, just open an eBay item not received claim and state that postage was very much underpaid and Royal Mail consider the item to be undeliverable, so the item is stuck at a London mail depot. You'll see an option to ask eBay to step in after it's been open for 3 business days. If you have any problems or question just pop back here.

Mentor1 week agoSeller can cancel the order as 'Problem with Buyer Address' or you can open an 'Item not received' case after the given delivery ?? date leaving the Seller with a problem in finding and retrieving the bulky Chest. Was delivery definitely offered ?.

OP1 week agoIm the buyer and seller is now saying all of this is my problem as i selected delivery. But it was option on her listing and paid for it..
