Post charges and cancelling a sale
I have just sold some antique fish knives, with I the seller pays postage, with postage listed as Royal Mail Tracked 24 proof of age = £3.38. I am now ready to send them and am told Royal Mail cant accept them and I have to send with UPS that will charge me £9.18 - they are being sent by a currier abroad.
I want to know 1) how eBay can change the post requirements when they accepted Royal Mail in the listing and 2) how to cancel the order - (I will be making £1,01 and if I am charged for the cancelation I may be out of pocket) I need to speak to someone to see if there are any charges to me for cancelling this? Please can anyone help?

Mentor5 months agoOn your orders page click on the dropdown menu arrow alongside the item and select Cancel order > Problem with buyer's address. There is no charge for cancelling.
To be honest, selling any kind of knife is a minefied on ebay these days, and as you're making so little on it anyway I wouldn't bother relisting them.

OP5 months agoThank you peaseblossom, that was really helpful and cancelled the order. I have also followed your advice, and taken another knife set off the selling too. Most grateful for a successful solution. Sory I couldn't reply right away as my computer needed mending the last 2 days - now ll fixed. BW Liz
