If you read section 2 of the user agreement you will see that eBay is simply an online market lace. It does not scrutinise sellers' listings, or guarantee the truth of descriptions or the quality, safety or legality of items advertised here.
Would you buy from a shop that stated this? Don't expect buyng from unknown sellers on eBay to be like buying from the shops. eBay is a jungle.
eBay does, however, provide a strong money back guarantee for most items bought here if they don't arrive or are not as described.

Mentor7 months agoThe important thing is for users to understand what eBay is: a largely unregulated online marktplace where almost anyone can offer almost anything for sale. In fairness to eBay, they couldn't put it more cearly that they don't guarantee the truthfulness of descriptions or that items will be safe or even legal. eBay is a jungle.
Certainly there are fakes and scams here, but where do you draw the line between a scam and poor quality items that no shop would sell, but may be just the cheap bargain that some buyers are looking for?
As for fakes, eBay no longer accepts reports of fakes from ordinary members, only from the brand rights owners.
The problem with eBay is that they make the site appear to be a happy and safe user-friendly place to buy things. Many buyers think it's just lke the shops. Hardly anyone seems to read the user agreement. Reality only strikes when they find that a seller's so-called warranty is valueless, or the've bought a top end phone and don't discover that it was stolen until it's already out of time for eBay's 30 day money back guarantee.

Lots of sellers use dropshipping and Shein is apparently a popular choice.
As far as I can see, your seller didn't break any rules.

Mentor7 months agoeBay act on cases.
If enough cases for item not described are opened generating refunds and especially any eBay involvement for escalation, this will bring the seller to the attention of eBay, who expect a High Standard of Selling, fall below this with defects for bad selling, brings restrictions and eventually permanent lifetime bans from eBay.
Buyers do need to open those cases, unfortunately many don't, so bad sellers carry on selling.
