Personally deliverig an item listed as collection only.
Is it possible to personally deliver an item listed as collection only?
A buyer had purchased a large boxed set of maps.
I'd agreed to deliver them whilst holidaying in my campervan.
(I spent four days in the vicinity of the buyer)
Ebay blocked message from me to the buyer and possibly from the buyer to me.
As this was an impasse I refunded the buyer and received negative feedback stating very poor communication.

Mentor10 months agoAs said, buyer has to pay first, then details can be exchanged. Only thing then so long as listed as a collection item, buyer would be provided with a number which on you delivering they must give to you to enter on ebay sold item, as that the the only proof you would have of delivery.
You appear to have cancelled sale, you should have used reason “buyer did not pay”, then no feedback could have been left.
You should have asked first, then this problem would have been easy.

If they had, you should have their phone number in the order details and there should not have been a block in exchanging details.

OP10 months agoThere wasn't any contact information (either address or phone number) in the order details.
Presumably the buyer had my address. If he also had my phone number he did not use it.
