Payouts on hold
Summary: k40egs is experiencing difficulties with withdrawing their sales balance due to a message indicating that payouts are on hold. They have a registered card that is up-to-date and linked to their account but have been prompted to add another card. john1297576 suggests using a bank account instead, but k40egs already has their bank account linked without prior issues. tressygirl recommends contacting Customer Services for assistance, noting that it can be challenging to reach an agent. fargvs advises updating the account with valid banking details using a PC or laptop, which might take a few days to verify.
I have just tried to withdraw my sales balance and a message and email have come through saying ‘ payouts on hold as the payment method on file could not be charged for any outstanding selling costs. ‘ It is asking me to add another card. The one that is registered on my account is in date and is set to pay selling and buying fees. I do not have an additional card to register. I have a balance on my account which I have been using to purchase items but now want to withdraw the remaining money.

Mentor2 weeks ago · EditedAfter a break from selling, check that your Selling account setup is updated with valid UK Addressed/Based Banking details (not internet/ website) on file in order to send, receive and request payments ? --- Best use a PC/Laptop to make the changes --- can take a few days to verify >

Mentor2 weeks agoFar better to use the bank account you withdraw money to, cards are not really necessary.

OP2 weeks agoMy bank account is already linked. I have been withdrawing to it regularly with no problems. Last time I withdrew was august.

Mentor2 weeks agoYou need someone with access to your account and that's Customer Services, maybe they can solve this issue as what is actually needed here.
It's not easy to contact an agent at CS, but go to Help & Contact top left of your eBay homepage, and keep typing in... speak to an agent , it can take quite a few attempts!
Best times are around 8 a.m. on weekdays when there's more chance of Dublin answering.

OP2 weeks agoThank you. Not sure why it has become so difficult to speak to an actual person.
