I recently sold an item and the order earnings were £35.14 after fees, but only £14.81 appeared in my EBay balance?

can anyone explain this to me, I’m confused?

You sold some high value items previously did you add a reserve as that would cost you a non refundable listing fee of 4% of your set reserve payable sale or no sale. Same for any of the following optional listing upgrades if you choose to select them on your listings.

Add any of the following optional listing upgrades, and they all come with a non refundable listing fee.

This is payable sale or no sale and charged the second the item goes live.

Reserves: 4% of the set reserve ( maximum £150 per item)

Subtitles: £2

Listing in 2 categories: 35p

Gallery Plus: £2.50 ( free for clothes and shoes)

Listings with duration 1 - 3 days 35p

Do also be aware, if you wish to list all Brand new items, you need to register as a Business account, this will show you how to register correctly:

Go to Account settings in My eBay.
Select Personal information.
Select Edit next to Account type. You may be asked to sign in again.
Select Confirm to upgrade to a Business account.
Specify whether you operate your business as a legal entity or as a sole proprietor and select Continue.
On the following page, enter your business information such as name, contact information, and returns policy. Then select Save.

Probably best to use a PC / laptop for this, and not the app or mobile browser. Chrome seems to work best on eBay.
