Payout sent to closed account
Summary: lindabelle66 is facing an issue where eBay sent a payout to a bank account that was closed. Ebay sent a payout of £48 on 29th August 2026 to a bank account that i closed a few weeks ago. As soon as i realised i changed my account details. I have spoke to Ebay twice asking what will happen to the money, and been told 2 different things by 2 different agents. One said the money would be recalled, and another has said that it is my banks problem and that Ebay will send me a letter to pass to my bank!
Has anyone else had this problem please, if so how did you sort it out and how long did it take to get the money please?

Mentor1 month agoIf the account is closed then the payment will bounce back to eBay and should eventually show back in your eBay balance, and you can transfer it to your correct bank account (presumably you've updated that section now).
