Payment withdrawal on hold but now missing
Summary: if_fish_could_fly is experiencing an issue with a funds withdrawal being on hold from their seller account due to a change in card details that affected seller fee deductions. Although they updated their payment method and paid the fees, the withdrawal has not appeared in their bank account. tressygirl suggested it might take up to five business days for details to be verified. john1297576 mentioned that seller fees should typically be deducted from the eBay account balance or bank account, questioning why a card would be involved. if_fish_could_fly clarified that only the debit card had been replaced and the bank account has not changed.
Hi all,
I withdrew some funds from my seller account. However my card details had changed so my seller fees could not be collected so the withdrawal was put on hold until a new payment method for my sellers fees was set up.
I set up and paid the seller fees. However the withdrawal payment which should have been taken off hold has not been received in to my bank account.
Ebay customer service have no idea and keep blaming my bank
Anyone help please?

Mentor1 week agoSeller fees in the first instance are deducted from money received, or balance in your ebay account, then if still not possible your bank account.
Card should not come into it, as a debit card is simply a way of using a bank account for payments, and I doubt ebay accepts credit cards for fees.

OP1 week agoBank account not changed and has always been available for deductions. Only a replacement debit card changed.

Mentor1 week agoWhen did you change those details?
It can take 5 business working days for some details to be checked and verified.
The money may appear a little later.

Mentor1 week agoYou're welcome, yep it can take a few days when bank details are changed, eBay wish to be sure it's the genuine owner changing those important details, and money then, not being sent to a hijacked account.
It's a good security measure.
