Payment received but item returned
I recently sold an item and the buyer made payment. I posted the item out and a week later the item has been returned with a not on it saying EVICTED. I have tried to contact the buyer twice but no response. What do you do in this instance?

OP10 months agoI have reached out twice to the buyer and it seems they are Thailand based which i did not realise. They have not raised a issue with eBay either to say they have not received the item. Part of me thinks this is some sort of scam going on here

You have the buyer's money and you have the item.
Your question was, essentially, what should you do.
You should refund them.

OP10 months agoHow do you cancel the sale when its completed and payment is not pending, i see the option to refund the seller but nothing more

Mentor10 months agoGo to the order and the drop down box will give you cancellation options. The refund will also cancel the sale though.

·10 months agoChoose 'refund buyer' from the dropdown menu and enter the refund amount.
Then choose a suitable reason from the list of options for refunding.
You could choose 'buyer return' or 'buyer cancelled'.
Maybe send the buyer a message as well saying you have had the item back - be tactful and say it was 'undeliverable'- and have sent a refund.
