Click on the item sold, top left click on View order details.
Far right from More Actions click on Refund this item, but be very careful to add the amount you wish to refund or you will refund the whole amount, do not click on reset.
You will need a laptop / PC and try Chrome that works well with eBay, don't think the above can be managed on the app or mobile browser.
