Parcel damaged during transit. How to claim compensation?
The parcel was badly damaged during transit, as the seller how do I claim compensation? Royal Mail website says "We’re sorry, you’re unable to proceed as the tracking number indicates you are not eligible to claim. Please contact the sending customer to take this further." But there's nothing on the ebay site to pursue a claim.

Mentor3 weeks agoIf Simple Delivery was used, buyer opens Not as described case damaged in transit.
Ebay refunds not the seller.
This is what the 30 day money guarantee is for.

OP3 weeks ago · EditedThank you for your reply. What do you mean by Simple Delivery? The postage was purchased through Ebay (Royal Mail Tracked)
Edit: I've just seen that ebay has confirmed I used Simple Delivery and they will "work with the buyer on any delivery related questions". I guess I should have read that before posting my question...

Mentor3 weeks agoYou open ebay case for damaged in transit,
If seller used simple delivery, ebay will refund you.
If not SD, seller provides returns label & you return for full refund.
Don't let seller fob you off, escalate case on day 4 if not resolved.
