Overpaying
I advertised a computer for £299 B.I.N, I was strangely offered £300 which I accepted, th sale went through and eBay said they’ve paid, and have sent me the tracking QR code to get it sent off. I can’t really understand why they would offer more that the B.I.N even if it is just a pound, but if they’ve paid will everything be ok? As google suggests it could be a scam, but they’ve not contacted me to offer to pay another way, it’s gone through eBay

Mentor9 months agoIf you listed at £299, then added to this would be the Buyers protection fee, so buyer see price as something around £312. From the screenshot it is £311.64.
When buyer offers £300 that includes buyer protection so you only would receive about £290.
Unless ebay have changed how you receive an offer it used to give the amount of the offer and what you would receive.
If you looked in your sold items, then you would see the price shown for buyers
