Overcoming Permanent Selling Restrictions on eBay
Summary: the-pearl-collective shared their experience of having their eBay selling privileges permanently restricted, despite positive feedback on their first order. They sought advice from others on navigating such restrictions, asking if others had successfully reversed a similar decision. *vyolla* and papso22 both noted that once eBay deems a restriction as final, reinstatement is highly unlikely, citing no known cases of successful appeals. the-pearl-collective questioned whether the restriction applied specifically to eBay.co.uk or their entire account, and despite trying to list on eBay.com, faced the same limitation messages.
Hello everyone,
I recently encountered a challenging situation where my selling privileges on eBay were permanently restricted despite receiving positive feedback on my first order. I've been informed by eBay Support that this decision is final and cannot be appealed.
Have any of you faced a similar issue? Were you able to find a solution or a way to have the restriction reviewed or reversed? If so, what steps did you take, and what advice would you give to someone in this situation?
Share your experiences and insights on effectively navigating eBay’s restrictions. Your input could be incredibly valuable to others facing the same problem.

Mentor1 month ago · EditedIf eBay have informed you that the decision is final and cannot be appealed then that's exactly what it means. You won't be able to sell on eBay, there isn't a workaround here.
Your accounts shows as being registered in Pakistan, so the US site ebay.com is your home site, not the UK site.

OP1 month agoSo we can list on ebay.com and our restriction will removed??

Mentor1 month agoYou can but try. But as @*vyolla* says permanently restricted means just that.
It may be a uk thing so would have to log in via . Com and not here to see.

OP1 month agoThanks. My first order was on eBay.co.uk, but my account is registered in Pakistan. I’m wondering whether the restriction is specific to eBay.co.uk or applies to my entire eBay account. eBay Support told me my selling privileges are permanently restricted. Has anyone had a similar situation?

Mentor1 month agoIt depends - if the message about the restriction is from the US site then no.

OP1 month agoThanks for your reply. I’ve actually tried listing on eBay.com as well, but I get the same “Your account is currently limited due to suspicious activity” message. eBay Support has confirmed that my selling privileges are permanently restricted and the decision is not appealable. Has anyone experienced this specific issue and had their account successfully reviewed or reinstated?

Mentor1 month agoI have never heard of an account being reinstated after this type of suspension.

Mentor1 month agoAs you have already tried to circumvent this restriction via ebay.com, you ought to be aware that eBay takes quite draconian measures to prevent restricted users from selling again on other accounts - or on other members' accounts.
Anyone else with an eBay account registered at you address is liable to be permanently restricted by association with your account; ditto anyone else using the same connected device as you to use eBay. We once heard from a long-time business seller who lost his entire business overnight when his son at the same address was permanently restricted.
