Overcharged Simple Delivery
Two problems:
First - I sell item 5 x 3 x 3 cm, weight 20 grams, so need to be small parcel (UK) up to 45 x 35 x 16 cm up to 1kg. Two items were sold, and Simple Delivery has automatically changed postage to medium parcel 61 x 46 x 46 cm, despite the item size and weight being clearly given within the listing. This means the buyer has paid too much postage, and with Simple Delivery there is no way to correct that.
Second - Simple Delivery does not display the amount of postage to be paid, just "get label" so how are we supposed to know what we're actually buying or paying for. Does this breach any of the UK consumer laws?
The older postage system was perfect, flexible and simple, how on earth can eBay think "Simple Delivery" is an improvement!

·1 year agoUnless you offer 'seller pays/free delivery' you don't pay for the postage. The buyer pays the cost as displayed on your listing.
However, if Simple Delivery is proving to be inconvenient for you, the solution is in your hands.
Simple Delivery is not available for business sellers, only private sellers who are selling their own, mainly secondhand items, not multiples of brand new items.
