Order over 6 months old but never delivered any options?

HI there - I ordered an item last November- there were many delays and in the end the PO returned to seller who promised to refund when it arrived but never did. When I tried to chase them they simply stopped responding . Most of their feedback is good but there are a couple of buyers who report the same behaviour. There doesn't seem any way to report this to eBay to have them chase the seller who has my money and presumably the product too . I understand the time lapse but I have all the correspondence and the seller has still stolen from me so this doesn't seem right even if it is their policy!

Mentor4 months agoYOu are far too late for any recompense here, if dealing with eBay you have 30 days, but as a buyer you are very well protected. Most other financial institutions allow you 120 days.
What I don't understand is in your opening line regarding the post office (I presume you mean Royal Mail) having the item returned. Why did they not make delivery attempts to you or allow you to collect the item? ITems generally are held for 18 working days at sorting offices before being returned (assuming a returns address was shown on the parcel).

OP4 months agoThey say they did attempt delivery but as they never left a card I was not aware they were attempting delivery !

Mentor4 months agoWaiting 6 months to report this to eBay is far too late as you have rightly stated they have a 30 day MBG Money Back Guarantee policy.
Far too late to contact your payment provider too.
Neither Company can help you here now.
I hope the item wasn't expensive as it's a lesson learned never to listen to a seller's excuses and promises to send any replacement just go ahead and claim within 30 days of an item's last date for delivery if an item doesn't arrive.

OP4 months agoI understand - Unfortunately I received a life changing diagnosis shortly after this happened and lost track of everything for a while. These things happen sadly!
