Opened an ‘item not received’ after one day of me posting
I sold a book on Thursday 9th July and posted it by second class post on Friday 10th July, on Sunday I had a message from eBay to say a case had been opened by the buyer as they hadn’t received the item. How can buyers be allowed to open cases when the item isn’t even overdue? I have had a message from the buyer today to say they have received the book today - this is actually very fast for second class post.

Mentor3 weeks agoSome buyers have no idea, of postal options, delivery times and no delivery on a Sunday.
As said while buyer can be ignorant ebay would not get involved until overdue.

Mentor3 weeks agoA buyer can open a case but they would not be able to escalate it until 4 days pass that last estimated date for delivery.
Is there somewhere to enter the tracking number into the case details? That will close the case. Or, you can send a message to the buyer asking them to close it from their end.
If it's left, it will eventually close.
