Open but never used but clearly visible it is used - what to do?
I purchased a few items that were described as new (open but never used) but some were clearly heavily used. I don't think that should be happening. Should I report if I spot item that is being sold with that kind of contradiction in description? If yes than how?

Mentor5 months agoNo point reporting a listing after you bought it.
You can return item for refund,
Click "Ebay help" top right of page.
Open item not as described case, seller provides returns label.
You can report live listings, click "?" Bottom right of listing page.
As said, don't expect ebay to do anything.

OP5 months agoWhat I have in mind is reporting listings as they are live due to obvious misleading information.

OP5 months agoRemember that some sellers don't accept returns.

·5 months agoAll sellers have to accept returns for up to 30 days as long as the buyer uses the reason 'item not as described'.
That is the protection offered by the Ebay Money Back Guarantee. The seller has to pay for the return postage and then must refund the buyer in full.

·5 months agoIt is up to a potential buyer to look at all the images, read the description carefully and check the seller's feedback before buying an item.
There is a 'report item' link on every listing but you can't report an item because you don't think it has been described accurately.
As advised, if you buy such an item, open a return and send it back.

OP5 months agoNot every eye is trained how to spot signs of use. I can spot dust on GPU from mile away but I that is now. In the past I wouldn't know how. Describing an item is misleading and waste time. I don't think that should be accepted.
I am probably blind because I can't see option for reporting item. 😞

Mentor5 months agoReporting items through listings is no good whatsoever. Ebay never agrees there is an issue.
You have the money back guarantee and feedback at your disposal if you buy something that is not as described.
