One member sold a fake
One guy sells me a fake rimowa bag. He admits it’s a fake and relists it immediately.
he then requests feedback changes which I refuse. He reports me and gets to keep his 100% positive feedback.
this is a PSA. No way for me to appeal.
I mean the seller did refund me so I wasted time and I’m not out of pocket but it makes me wary of buying anything expensive on here again

Mentor6 months agoThere are so many things that must not be mentioned in feedback, but ebay encourages writing a book when leaving feedback and the more said the greater the chance of removal.
If necessary to leave negative, just say. “Unsatisfactory transaction” and MARK DOWN THE START RATINGS.
Feedback does not get taken into account when ebay reviews a sellers account, BUT star rating scores do, ebay expect no less than 4.7 in all sections.

OP6 months agothank you for the information. i guess ill check the star ratings before
buying anything.
Its sof rsutrating that sellers can just relist fakes, admit they are
selling fakes and continue with 100% "positive" feedback

If you have learned the risks of buying on eBay without even losing money you're lucky!
There are so many fakes and frauds, yet buyers often know nothing about the risks. It wouldn't be so bad if buyers could rely entirely on eBay's money back guarantee, but they can't.
For a start, it only lasts for 30 days, so it's already expired by the time some buyers have learned that their items were fake or stolen. Plus non-delivery of items is not reliably covered. eBay has admitted that if the courier records it as having been correctly delivered, eBay will take their word against the buyer's. They won't even accept the buyer's word that the proof of delivery photo isn't their own home!
