old sale - "dispatch now" - collection code never worked
Summary: eze-5215 sold an item but encountered an issue with the buyer's collection code, which was invalid despite the buyer's insistence it was correct. They are seeking a way to confirm the collection and remove the listing from "dispatch now," as there's no apparent method to contact the platform directly, only an unhelpful AI bot.
I sold an item a few weeks ago and forgot to input the collection code until a couple of hours after the buyer had collected.
The code he gave me was invalid but according to him was correct (i'm also certain the buyer is legit)
I seem to have no way of sending a new code or confirming collection in any way
There also seems to be no way of contacting ebay directly, just a terrible AI "help" bot
A solution would be greatly appreciated as i'd rather not have the listing under "dispatch now" for eternity

Mentor1 week agoThe only way to show collected is to load the code, either buyer has it wrong or ebay have made a mistake, which I doubt.
The only risk as far as you are concerned, is that buyer could claim not received.
In theory item should not be handed over until code accepted.
