Offering to buy or sell outside of eBay policy
Summary: vladinsane shared that their 3D printer listing was stopped due to policy violations and sought help to identify the issue. john1297576 and *vyolla* clarified that the problem was the inclusion of an external link in the listing, which violates eBay's policies against directing buyers off-site. vladinsane acknowledged this advice, noting that the link was copied from another listing and should have been omitted.
I just listed a 3D printer and it got stopped saying "Offering to buy or sell outside of eBay policy" but I don't see where that has come from, the following is text from listing, can anyone tell me what the problem is:
"Anycubic i3 Mega S 3D Printer
Works well but am looking at ones with bigger build area
Has 3D printed extruder cover, supposed to be lighter for faster travel , original metal one is with it. Bed heater power supply has also been updated to take load off circuit board.
Info and spec:
https://fypower.org/anycubic-mega-s-review/
Printer will be partially dismantled and sent in original packaging.
Buyer can collect or arrange for courier collection themselves
Box is 52 x 55 x 25 cm, 15Kg"
I'm guessing it is some stupid a1 thing as I don't see where the problem is.

Mentor3 weeks ago · EditedThe problem is the link to another website, its against eBay policy:-
To protect our members, listings or products can’t contain links that direct customers to a site other than eBay, even if the link is not clickable.
While there are some exceptions, listings or item descriptions can't contain links that direct customers to any other site.

Mentor3 weeks agoThe link should be removed, as it is outside ebay giving the impression of an off ebay sale.

OP3 weeks agoThanks for that, though it is odd as I had copied that link from another listing I was reading, though I do remember it wasn't in proper hyper link format so I should have left it alone..

Mentor3 weeks agoYou wouldn't be able to include it in any format though. Probably no consolation, but lots of sellers come here with the same issue.
