Offer Process Confusions: Why Are Some Buyers Blocked?
Summary: noteaddict shared a situation where a buyer was blocked after repeatedly attempting to submit an offer at the minimum acceptable price. They sought clarification on potential limits or rules affecting such transactions. papso22 responded by explaining that the offer must include a buyer protection fee and that buyers have three opportunities to make offers. This exchange prompted a discussion on understanding platform rules and preventing misunderstandings between buyers and sellers.
Hi everyone,
I've recently had an experience where a buyer tried to submit an offer at my minimum acceptable price several times, but each attempt was declined, and eventually, the buyer was blocked from proceeding. I'm curious to understand why this happens. Is there a limit to the number of times a buyer can make an offer? Could there be other factors at play?
Have any of you experienced similar situations? How did you handle them, and what insights do you have about platform rules regarding offers? Let's discuss what could contribute to this scenario and explore ways to prevent misunderstandings between buyers and sellers.
Looking forward to your thoughts!

OP3 weeks agoThank you, that seems to be the explanation although I seldom get more than one offer for an item, always for my minimum offer price. This is the first time I have experienced this problem.
