Not so “simple delivery”
Summary: imweir shared a frustrating experience with a mishap involving a duplicate shipping label that resulted in two products being sent to the same buyer. They expressed difficulties in resolving the issue with eBay, as the process requires the buyer to request a refund, which has led to their funds being placed on hold. This situation has also upset the intended recipient of the second product, who has not yet received their purchase. imweir sought advice from the community on how to handle this issue effectively.
Somehow post office printed the same label twice and sent 2 products I sold to the same buyer. Trying to get the 1 product back from the buyer that they weren’t meant to have is becoming a pain. Not because of them. But because of eBay. I was told to get that buyer to raise a refund request, which they now have…but obviously they don’t need a refund or need to send the product back, they just want to send the product back that they shouldn’t have recieved in first place! eBay now saying I have to wait until Friday morning until I can escalate? Escalate what? You just need to pay for a shipping label for the product you sent him by mistake through your “simple delivery” posting method. Also because he raised a refund request (as informed to do), my money is now on hold (even though he isn’t returning that product…). Absolute joke! In meantime, the other buyer is getting annoyed (rightfully) as they haven’t received their product!
Any advice?

Mentor1 week agoThe process that you've started means that you have to issue a label, else the buyer may end up with the two items.
eBay won't issue a postage label.
