Not got return label yet
Summary: in-7080 received a non-working item and was promised a return label by a seller but only received a return address, being asked to pay return shipping. They are seeking advice on whether the seller should cover return costs and how to escalate the issue on eBay. papso22, *vyolla*, and john1297576 suggest opening a formal return case with eBay and following the proper procedures to resolve the issue through eBay's system.
Hello. Received item. Doesn’t work. Informed seller and got message saying return label will be with me by 4 sept
I have not got, but merely got return address and asking me for return with tracking number, which I assume i will have to pay for
As item not work, surely seller responsibility for cost to return and tracking
Can’t seem to get to right place to take this up with eBay, seller not responding now
Only about £3 item, but as I feel I have been given run around, it now a matter of principle
Any help would be gratefully received
Thanks

I believe I have followed procedure?
I have address but I have been requested to post and tracking at my own cost

Mentor1 month agoTo me it sounds as though you have not opened a case, and just expecting to do it by messages.
Unless you use the correct procedure, you cannot ask ebay to get involved, and will just run out of time.
It is a matter of principle that ebay expects buyers to follow procedures.

Mentor1 month agoAsk ebay to step in to the case you have presumably opened using the ebay money back guarantee.
